NB: First time applicants must first register as a candidate stockbroker with the SAIS.

IAPM Exemption Application

Professional Stockbroker Examinations Exemption

In order to be eligible to apply for exemptions for any of the Professional Stockbroker examinations, a candidate must meet the exemption criteria specified for each subject. The Education Committee (EDCOM) reserves the right to apply its discretion in the granting of any
exemptions.

Exemption Criteria:

• Successful completion of CFA Level 3; or
• CFA Charter holder.
• Successful completion of a NQF level 8 qualification in Investments, provided it had been completed within the exam validity time frames.

Note: For all designations, membership must be current.

This course will be delivered online, and students are expected to review the material in their own time. Please note that there will be only one Contact Session, scheduled three weeks before the exam, via MS Teams.


Candidates are advised to complete the material ahead of time and prepare for the sessions. All questions must be submitted at least 3 days before a session.
